IFBB Fit Model Pro, certified nutrition coach, and transformation coach at Hammer Fitness in Scarborough. Female body composition, glute development, and competition prep — for women who want to change their physique without making fitness their entire life.
IFBB Fit Model Pro · Miss Canada, 2023 · ECS Certified (Elite Coaching System) · Certified nutrition coach · Female body composition · Competition prep
Lindsay Martens is an IFBB Fit Model Pro, a certified nutrition coach, and a transformation coach specialising in female body composition, muscle development, fat loss and competition preparation. She turned professional under Amer Kamra and now coaches on the same floor she prepped on.
She is ECS certified through the Elite Coaching System — the education arm through which the Hammer Fitness method is taught to coaches — and trained in the MED Method that every programme here runs on.
What separates her is not that she built a competitive physique. Plenty of coaches have. It is that she understands the person behind the physique — and builds the plan around her rather than around a template.
She coaches women who want to change their physique completely without handing their whole life over to the gym. Structured nutrition, strategic resistance training, real accountability, and the working assumption that no two clients respond the same way.
Lindsay coaches women who want to completely change their physique without having to make fitness their entire life. Her approach combines structured nutrition, strategic resistance training, accountability, and an understanding that no two clients respond exactly the same way.
Training history, lifestyle, stress, recovery, injuries and a chaotic schedule all change how a programme needs to be built. That is why she does not hand someone a generic training split and a set of macros and call it coaching. She watches the data, listens to the client, assesses how the body is actually responding, and adjusts.
Her coaching focuses on body composition rather than a lower number on the scale. The goal is not to make someone smaller. It is to create shape, and to build a physique and a lifestyle the client can actually maintain once the work is done.
As an IFBB Fit Model Pro she brings an advanced understanding of female physique development — glute development, lower-body shape, symmetry, and the proportions that change how a physique reads. The same principles that build an elite physique apply, at an appropriate dose, to a woman who simply wants to look stronger, tighter and more athletic.
The plan should challenge you. It also has to work in your real life.
She has been the athlete and she has been the coach. Those are different jobs.
Lindsay has gone through the process countless times: the dieting, the posing, the cardio, peak weeks, stage days, post-show transitions, and the mental demands that come with holding an extremely high standard for months at a time.
Her competitive career includes earning IFBB Professional League status and becoming Miss Canada in 2023. That experience gives her an understanding of prep that goes past textbook knowledge.
Getting an athlete stage-ready is only part of the job. A successful prep means knowing when to push, when to hold, when to adjust, and how to bring an athlete out of a show properly afterward — the part most preps handle badly and most athletes pay for later.
She coaches Bikini and Fit Model preparation end to end: improvement season, prep, stage day, and the reverse that follows. See how contest prep coaching works at Hammer Fitness.
She did not learn prep from a course. She learned it standing next to the person who was already doing it.
Lindsay is a contest prep coach at Hammer Fitness, preparing athletes on the same roster as founder Amer Kamra. She came up through the gym as his athlete first — the prep that ended with her pro card was run by him — and she now coaches prep on the same team, using the same system.
That order matters. She was coached through every part of the process before she was trusted to run it for anyone else: improvement season, the decision to open a prep, peak week, stage day, and the reverse afterwards. She has been on the receiving end of every call she now makes.
Working under his tutelage, she has helped prepare athletes who went on to earn their own pro cards, and the two of them have put a long list of division wins and overall titles on the board together.
For a client that means a prep is never run by one person in isolation. It is written, reviewed and adjusted inside a team that has taken athletes through this repeatedly — and that has seen the ways a prep goes wrong often enough to spot them early.
One of Lindsay's strengths is her ability to meet clients where they are while refusing to let them stay there.
Some clients need more structure. Some need education. Some need reassurance. Others need someone willing to tell them their actions are not matching the goals they say they want.
She adapts the coaching style to the individual without lowering the standard. Her clients know exactly what is expected of them, why a change is being made, and what they need to execute next. Education, accountability and honesty — in that order — sit at the centre of how she works.
She does not expect perfection. She expects communication and execution.
Building shape while reducing body fat, with programming designed around the individual's structure and physique goals. Creating an appropriate deficit, monitoring progress and making calculated adjustments — rather than jumping straight to extreme restriction and excessive cardio.
Strategic exercise selection, execution and progression designed to actually build the glutes, rather than accumulating lower-body training volume and calling it a programme. Selection first, then execution, then load.
Structured Bikini and Fit Model preparation from improvement season through prep, stage day and the post-show reverse. Division selection, posing, peak week, and an honest read on whether a given show is realistic on the timeline available.
Teaching clients to manage calories, macronutrients, meal structure, restaurants and travel — without the belief that one imperfect meal has undone the week. Adherence that survives real life beats a perfect plan nobody follows.
Programmes built around demanding careers, motherhood, travel, injuries, social events, and everything else that exists outside the gym. The constraint is not willpower. It is the calendar.
The reverse out of a deficit, and the transition from a physique that was chased to one that is held. A result that cannot be maintained was a phase, not a transformation.
Shape built, body fat down, and a physique the client can actually hold onto.

When progress stalls, the answer is not automatically to eat less and do more cardio.
Lindsay looks deeper first. Before a single number moves, the questions are:
Those details decide the adjustment. The best programme is not the hardest programme. It is the one specific enough to produce the result and realistic enough to be executed consistently.
That is where her coaching lives: high standards, individualised strategy, honest communication, and a focus on the client becoming stronger mentally as well as physically. Read what clients say about coaching here, or see the documented transformations.
The goal isn't simply to change your body. It's to become the person capable of maintaining what you built.

Lindsay's programmes run on the MED Method — the minimum effective dose training system created by Amer Kamra and taught to every coach at Hammer Fitness.
The premise: most training volume is set by what a person can tolerate rather than by what produces adaptation, and the gap between those two numbers is where injuries, burnout and quitting live. MED finds the smallest dose that produces the change, executed properly and progressed in a log.
For female body composition that matters more, not less. Chronic over-training and excessive cardio are the two most common reasons a woman's progress stalls and her recovery collapses — and both are what happens when a plan is built on effort instead of on dose. The Public Health Agency of Canada recommends muscle-strengthening work at least twice a week as a baseline; the question Lindsay's programming answers is how much above that baseline any individual actually needs.

No. Most of her clients have no interest in a stage. The principles that build a competitive physique apply, at a sane dose, to a woman who wants to look stronger and more athletic and keep it.

Not an automatic cut and more cardio. Training progression, recovery, digestion, daily activity, weekends, injuries and actual adherence get checked first. The adjustment follows the diagnosis.
